Here's how this puzzle works: Click the mouse or use the Arrow keys to position the Caret. Click on the third button from the left to switch between Across and Down. Set Hints On or Off with the 'Hint' button. The Delete key or Space bar will remove a letter. Once you have finished, click on the 'Solution' button.
